I am having a blast here at byu-I. most of my roommates are pretty cool, and I have met a lot of new people. I am taking 14 credit hours,,, and most of my friends here are saying that I'm committing a academic suicide,,, but I know I can handle it. I am going to major in Mechanical engineering, and I love it, The Austin building is the building for engineering and technology and there are almost no girls in that building at all. Yesterday I went to talk to one of the ME teachers to get into his class that is full and a group of guys started giving me crap saying things like "yeah these two girls tried ME, but the dropped out after a week because they couldn't handle it" and my reply was "that's too bad for them, but I am not most girls" it just kept going on and I totally had a blast with it because somehow I had a brilliant response to everything they threw at me. HAHA YEAH!!!!
today I went to the library to work on my mission prep Book of Mormon class and I ended up spending 3 hours in the scriptures and I only got 3 verses of my 6 chapters I need to read done. but I sure did learn a lot and I found some very cool things.
For my BOM class I need to read the BOM the manual and preach my Gospel from cover to cover by the end of the semester. I have decided to wright/or type a journal of my thoughts as I'm reading all these things, and put it into my quote journal.
I love it here the spirit is so strong and there are so many good people here, and it is something that is almost tangible.
